Sarah Ferguson praised “very brave” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for pulling the plug on royal life and hightailing it across the pond.
The Duchess of York, 63, said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “blazing a trail” by building a new life for themselves and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in California.
Appearing on the Australian morning show “Sunrise” Tuesday, Ferguson, who divorced Prince Andrew in 1996, was asked if the exiled royals struggled at all during the intercontinental move.
“The thing is — and I’m really adamant about this — is that anyone that is out there really trailblazing for their own beliefs, and it doesn’t matter where you’re from or who you are, you trailblaze for what you believe — that’s very brave,” she told host Matt Shirvington.
“I would never be one to make a comment on any other member of the Royal Family or anybody who does that. I just find anyone that stands very tall about their own beliefs is very brave, whoever it is.”
The Sussexes sensationally shut the door on royal life in 2020 after stepping down as senior working members of the Firm.
The decision was followed by a move to Canada, before the pair ultimately settled down in Montecito, Calif., amid their ongoing quest for “privacy.”

They’ve since been criticized and ridiculed for their shocking revelations, with the animated sitcom “South Park” releasing an episode .

It was recently reported that the runaway royals , engaging in sit-down interviews, and taking part in large-scale documentaries.
“That period of their life is over — as there is nothing left to say,” a source told the Sun of the exiled couple’s plan to step away from the limelight.
The Sussexes have yet to comment on the speculation.
