Remember that story doing the rounds a couple of weeks ago about a husband who ditched his wife and kids to enjoy the luxury of first class?
Unsurprisingly, with his wife, or the internet for that matter, who collectively deemed it “grounds for immediate divorce.”
But brace yourselves, because this week has blessed us with yet another scandalous story of a similar nature. A variation on a theme, if you will.

This week’s flavor: He pretends he’s ‘working’ but he’s actually chatting up the woman sitting next to him.
Yikes!

The man left his family because he was ‘very far’ behind on work
Taking to TikTok, a woman named Jordynn Wynn explained the “most awkward encounter” that happened when she was flying recently.
“So I’m on the plane and get upgraded to first class and I get seated next to this guy who’s early 40s, late 30s and he’s working on his laptop and I’m working on my laptop,” she explains.
“The flight attendant comes around to offer us drinks and I just order a water and he tells me, ‘Did you know that it’s unlimited free drinks in first class?’” Jordynn then told him that she didn’t know that.
After ordering a glass of wine, she makes small talk with him about where he’s flying to and what he’s working on.
“He tells me that he’s a professor in nature conservation and he’s going on a trip to give a talk,” she says.
Jordynn finds the conversation interesting, so continues to ask lots of questions but insists that she wasn’t flirting but just “chatting.”
At some point in the conversation, he mentions that his wife is in economy with their two kids because “he’s very far behind on the project” and he needed to finish it.
“We’ve been watching you with your head turned for 20 minutes”
“We were talking for like 15-20 minutes at this point, and as if on cue, his wife comes up with the babies, like a two-year-old and a five-year-old, and plops the baby in his lap and says, ‘If you’re not going to work, then the least you can do is watch one of the babies.’”
Jordynn describes the wife as “pissed”, while the husband tried to explain what they were chatting about.
What ensued was a “very heated, awkward conversation” between the couple, as Jordynn was left trying to make conversation with the five-year-old.
She overheard the man trying to explain to his wife that they were just having an innocent conversation about his work, but his wife replied, “Yeah, we’ve been watching you with your head turned over here for the last 20 minutes.”
The wife then storms off, leaving the two-year-old with the dad.
“The baby is kicking, digging into his bag, whatever… and I feel awkward. He’s trying to make conversation with me, and I was like, ‘Don’t do it’,” she explains.
Jordynn then concludes by saying that initially, she thought the wife was grumpy but on second thought, “What husband leaves their partner in the back of a plane while they’re in first class, drinking whisky, with a two-year-old and a five-year-old?!”
She then imparts two pieces of wisdom to her followers.
“Never talk to a man with wedding rings on,” she says. “And choose wisely. Do not marry someone who is going to leave you in the back of the plane.”

The video has nearly 400k views and most of the 17.8k comments agreed with Jordynn about the husband’s questionable antics.
“Team wife,” one comment read.
Another said, “Good on her for leaving the baby,” while another added, “If my husband took the upgrade and left me in economy with two kids he wouldn’t make it out alive.”
“As a wife, I’d do the exact same thing,” commented a fourth.
“Shame on the husband. This is an absolute NO NO,” wrote another TikToker.
Someone else suggested: “He STILL left her in the back?! After she came up he should have offered her his seat and taken the kids back.”
And then this flight attendant confirmed this scenario happens more than people think. “Oh babe, as a flight attendant I can’t tell you how many times husbands take the first class seat and leave their wives in the back.”
