A scandal at a prestigious Australian faculty has rocked dad and mom, with the Catholic establishment briefly suspending two lecturers and launching an investigation.
Two lecturers at one of the crucial prestigious Catholic colleges in Queensland have been suspended after allegedly being caught in a compromising place by college students in a classroom.
The revered female and male lecturers have been suspended from their roles at Aquinas College at Southport, Gold Coast, after the alleged incident on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the Brisbane Catholic Education Office informed information.com.au that an “allegation had been made in regards to the conduct of two workers members whereas on faculty grounds.”
“This matter is presently being investigated by Brisbane Catholic Education.”
The faculty boasts high-profile alumni together with Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, authorities minister Meaghan Scanlon, former Miss Universe Australia Jesinta Campbell, Olympic shooter Annemarie Forder and former Maroon rugby participant Bob Lindner.
International conman Peter Foster is also a former alumnus.
Parents quoted in the Courier Mail stated there had been little communication from the college on the incident earlier than media inquiries.
“What has (allegedly) occurred is stunning sufficient, not to mention at a Catholic faculty,” one stated.
“Parents wish to know what motion the college is taking in opposition to these two people.”
Principal Marcus Richardson wrote to oldsters in regards to the allegation on Thursday afternoon.
